Information about data protection

Fittkau & Maaß exercises great care when handling the personal data of survey participants. When handling and processing personal data you submit to us we follow the stringent data protection regulations in effect in Germany, remaining consistent with the provisions set out in the EU guidelines for data protection.

Anonymous survey, personal data
When you visit our Web site, this is done anonymously. If you take part in one of our surveys we will ask you to provide us with some personal data (e.g. age, occupation, etc.). Personal data is submitted to us on a voluntary basis only. Fittkau & Maaß takes the data you submit and analyses it for usage patterns and preferences, as well as using it to determine the trends and key factors in the market. Companies and Internet service providers use the insights gained in designing user-friendly sites, so that Internet users like you will be able to use them even better.

Your data will not be used for any form of advertising. We will not disclose your name, your address, e-mail address or any other contact information to others. We provide our customers with survey data for market research purposes only and exclude data that could be used to reveal the identity of a participant in our survey.

Handling of personal data
The personal data you submit to us is stored and processed in our data processing centre. Outsiders have no access to your personal data.

Security
The Web sites operated by Fittkau & Maaß employ server technology that prevents intrusion from outsiders, in order to protect the information we administer from loss, misuse or modification. When we invite you to take part in a survey you receive a special URL from us. The answers that you give during the survey can at no time be seen or modified by other persons as long as this URL is not passed on to others.

Fittkau & Maaß is registered with the local authority for the supervision of data protection and an employee of the company has been put in charge of data protection.

Correcting/Updating information
You are authorized to access and modify the data you provide to us. If you would like to know more about the data you have provided to us or wish to have it corrected, please write to info@fittkaumaass.de.
If you wish to withdraw your consent for handling the data from the survey questionnaire and for otherwise using this data, simply inform us in writing (Fittkau & Maaß GmbH, Hohe Bleichen, 20354 Hamburg, Germany) or via e-mail.
